About us-

We were founded in early 2019 by a college design professor turned bow maker and are currently based outside of Charlotte, N.C.  Taylar founded this business in her basement outside of Chicago during the cold winter months when she was looking for a hobby, but it was not long before The Bows and the Bees began to become so much more than a hobby!

Taylar is the mother to two beautiful children, which means we are a momma-founded business!

Why does this matter?

Well, it is because we know what works. Every person who builds our bows are parents. We know your kid is probably going to flush one down the toilet, dip it in the dog’s dish or cover it in ketchup. We know that all these items will be worn in car seats, go through countless dance practices and rainy recesses. We know how to keep them functional and durable through all the crazy!  

 We know our items for mommas are going to get pulled and probably also put into the toilet at some point... We also know they need to make a messy mom bun look put together. We know how much the right hair accessory can make you feel better about yourself even though you were up all night cluster feeding an infant, or you just spent the last week running your little one to his out of state baseball games and you haven’t had a proper shower in five days. We know. We have been there. And we are here to make you feel like the fabulous goddess you are!
